MEMORIAL DONATIONS for MARTHA BAIER:

SUCCESSFUL COAST of HOPE BIKE RIDE! This year’s annual bike ride was a great success! 101 riders participated, and were supported by over 40 volunteers. Together the cyclists, their sponsors, and the businesses and organizations who also made donations helped to raise $14,000 toward programs and projects for children and families living with childhood cancer and other catastrophic challenges. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible...we are loading online photos, sending out donor letters and thank-you’s and still catching our breath after this special day...but please know that each and every one of you made a difference!
THANKS to Waring School students who volunteered with Bright Happy Power at Children’s Hospital Boston on the transplant/oncology unit on Friday, June 3! Face painting, crafts, play, conversation, cookies & juice...we helped lighten the mood for several families for a few hours...and the hefty donation of Playstation2 and xBox360 games, movies and bags and bags of books for all ages will keep on distracting and entertaining far longer!
MORE HELP for HAITI: Bright Happy Power has contributed funds to Rotary District 7930’s donation of shelter boxes (tents, food & water for families) in Haiti, as well as helped local schools and groups organize in-kind donations of supplies that will be used by Partners in Development at their clinic in Port-au-Prince.
